What inspired you to pursue a dual career as both a colorist and stylist? Years ago, I traveled to Italy to pursue my dream of becoming a hairstylist. While studying there, I discovered my passion for the artistry involved in both styling and coloring hair. I was captivated by how a stunning hairstyle can dramatically boost someone's confidence, and how color can further amplify that transformation.
Over time, I developed a love for merging these elements to craft looks that are not only beautiful but also reflect each person's unique individuality. As both a stylist and colorist, I have the opportunity to express my creativity while ensuring my clients feel their very best.
How do you stay updated on the latest trends in both hair color and styling techniques? I take great pride in providing personalized, high-quality work, and I continuously keep myself informed about the latest trends and techniques to cater to each client's unique style and needs. Social media serves as an excellent resource for staying current on emerging trends.
What advice would you give clients on maintaining their color and style between salon visits? To maintain hydrated hair, apply a nourishing conditioner after every shampoo and consider adding a deep conditioning treatment weekly to ensure moisture retention. To protect against heat damage, it's crucial to use a heat protectant before exposing your hair to any heat, as this will help prevent dryness and potential harm. Remember, healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp, so consider giving yourself a scalp massage with oil or using a clarifying shampoo to keep your scalp clean and encourage hair growth.
What is your favorite hairstyle or trend right now, and why do you love it? I have been loving the extravagant hairstyles that have recently gained popularity. In particular, shaggy haircuts and Wolf Cuts have caught my attention. I also hold a strong admiration for avant-garde updos. It has been a privilege to work with brides; not only is it an honor to be part of so many memorable moments, but it also provides a wonderful opportunity for creativity and imagination to flourish.
If you weren't a hair stylist, what other profession do you think you'd enjoy and why? If I weren’t a hairstylist, I would likely gravitate towards a profession that still allows for creativity— perhaps as an artist or some type of designer. I can envision myself exploring fields like interior design, makeup artistry, or even fashion. Each of these areas would let me express my keen eye for detail and passion for aesthetics.
What is your favorite hobby to outside of work? I have a deep appreciation for creative hobbies that enable me to express myself in various ways. My passions include flower arrangement, cooking, and painting. Each of these hobbies serves as a creative outlet, providing me the opportunity to experiment and enhance my artistic abilities.
