What inspired you to pursue a dual career as both a colorist and stylist? What inspired me to become a dual colorist and stylist was my early exposure to the dynamic environment of a salon. I started as a shampoo girl at just 13, and by 18, I was enrolled in Cosmetology school, continuing my journey at the same salon. At 19, I gained valuable experience at Rueve on Dearborn, where I was influenced by the stylists who seamlessly combined cutting and coloring services. Their expertise and versatility inspired me to pursue a path where I could offer clients a comprehensive approach to hair artistry.
What advice do you have for your clients to maintain their hair color between salon visits? I recommend utilizing high-quality professional products to maintain color and style between visits.
What is your favorite hairstyle or trend right now, and why do you love it? I am truly enjoying the bold, voluminous styles; I was really fatigued from the straight looks.
If you weren’t a hair stylist, what other profession do you think you’d enjoy and why? If I weren't working in hair, I believe I would pursue a career as an early education teacher because I truly love working with children.
