What inspired you to pursue a dual career as both a colorist and stylist? Forty-two years ago, I began my hairstyling journey by assisting the national artistic director of a 40-salon company, working closely with a lead colorist at L'Oréal. This experience sparked my passion for color, which grew as I later trained in cutting at Vidal Sassoon, learning to create structured, artistic styles. For me, hairstyling is an art, driven by curiosity and a commitment to growth. I continually seek new techniques to provide clients with the best in boutique styling, aiming to make them feel confident and beautiful.

What is your favorite hairstyle or trend right now, and why do you love it? As a hairstylist, I prioritize individual client needs over trends, focusing on their hair texture, type, and lifestyle to create unique styles. The most rewarding aspect of my work is enhancing clients' natural beauty with looks that fit their daily lives—whether it's a sleek bob or vibrant highlights. By emphasizing personalized styling, I aim to craft timeless looks that boost confidence, ensuring each hairstyle reflects the client's true self.

What are some common misconceptions clients have about hair color and styling that you’d like to clarify? A common misconception is that cutting or coloring hair at home won't cause damage. While it may seem convenient, DIY efforts often do more harm than good.

Home hair coloring can affect the health and vibrancy of your hair. Products for home use are generally lower quality than professional ones, leaving hair dull and fragile. It can take months to fix such mistakes.

As a professional hairstylist, I can assess your hair's needs and use high-quality products for the best results. By considering your hair type and lifestyle, I can create a style that's stunning and healthy. Leave the scissors and dye to the professionals—let us help you achieve your dream look.

If you could color/style anyone’s hair, past or present, who would it be and why? If I could style or color anyone's hair, whether from the past or present, it would undoubtedly be my mother, who is no longer with us. She personified glamour and style, always presenting herself with an elegance that made a memorable impact on everyone she encountered.

Growing up, I was mesmerized by her ability to transform her look with such grace and sophistication. Her hair was always perfectly styled, reflecting her vibrant personality and timeless beauty. She inspired my passion for hairstyling and instilled in me the importance of creativity and attention to detail. Styling her hair would be a way to honor her memory and the profound influence she had on my career. It would be a beautiful tribute to the woman who taught me that true style comes from within and that every person deserves to feel glamorous and confident.

What is your favorite hobby to outside of work? When I'm not creating beautiful hairstyles, I engage in various hobbies that energize and inspire me. Fitness and yoga are essential parts of my routine, keeping me centered and flexible. I cherish traveling, as it exposes me to new cultures and ideas that enhance my work. Lastly, I have a passion for interior design, it would allow me to express my artistic side in a different yet equally fulfilling way.
